A character must be specifically trained to cast a higher circle spell than those already available to him. For members of spellcasting disciplines, this training comes with circle advancement training for spells of that discipline. For spells from outside the character's discipline, this training is still required, and costs about the same amount of time, money, and effort as training for circle advancement (unless the character is of a spellcasting discipline in which case it is somewhat less difficult). No character may train to cast spells higher than her current circle, and non-spellcasters are further limited by their Spellcasting rank.
