Ulloran Jokaraas was a powerful and exceptionally charismatic Elementalist. He came from a small village in Barsaive, and was a great hero to the people of that village. When the Scourge began, the villagers, like many others, built their own caer. Ulloran did not stay with them, but swore to provide for informing them when it was safe to leave the caer. They would know the messenger by the weapon of light he carried, Kassyth. He returned to his tower and pepared for his greatest creation. Tired of hearing about great weapons forged by fire elementals, he bargained with earth, air, and water elementals, finally finding three who would aid him in his endeaver (they also shared his feelings about the fire elementals). Unfortunately, Ulloran was attacked and killed on his way to Throal. Even more unfortunately, this was also before Ulloran arranged for the villagers release. They remain in their caer, unmolested due to their small size and Ulloran's protection, but refusing to leave. Ulloran and Kassyth, being names handed down from generation to generation, have become akin to dieties for these people, and they religiously await the messenger bearing Kassyth, the Lightbringer.
