To tie a thread to this very unique item, the Wings must be embedded in the intended wearer's shoulderblades by a master weaponsmith. The Weaponsmith must coax the metal to flow into the wearer's shoulders and bond with the bone and muscle while the Adept is tying her thread to the Wings' True Pattern. This process is extremely difficult, and requires the Weaqponsmith to make a Half magic test against each of the wearer's Spell Defense and the Wings' Spell Defense. Both Tests must gain an Excellent Sucess and the wearer must successfully tie her Thread to properly embed the Wings. Failure in any part of this process requires the whole process to be performed again.
